1. Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability
I understand that participation in baking activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to burns, cuts, slips, allergic reactions, use of kitchen equipment, and consumption of food products.
By checking the box below, I voluntarily assume all such risks. I release, waive, and hold harmless The Bake Room (Black Girl Enterprises LLC), its owner, employees, contractors, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, or actions related to personal injury, illness, or property damage that may occur before, during, or after
participation in these classes.
2. Allergies and Medical Conditions
I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to disclose all allergies or medical conditions to The
Bake Room prior to participating.
The Bake Room is not responsible for adverse reactions or health issues resulting from
undisclosed conditions or allergen exposure.
3. Intellectual Property & Confidentiality
All content provided or demonstrated in this class is the exclusive property of The Bake Room— including but not limited to:
Recipes
Techniques
Class materials
Written and digital documents
Participants may not:
Photograph, video record, copy, or otherwise capture recipes
Share, publish, sell, or reuse class materials for commercial use
Post instructional content or recipes from classes online or in print
All materials are for personal, non-commercial home use only.
4. Participant Photo/Video Limitations
Participants are prohibited from:
Photographing recipes, instruction sheets, or proprietary materials
Filming demonstrations or instruction portions of the class
Recording other guests without consent
5. Business Photo/Media Release
I grant The Bake Room permission to photograph and/or record me during the class and to use
such media for:
Advertising
Social media
Website content
Print and promotional materials
I understand I will not receive compensation for such usage.
If I do not want to appear in photos or videos, I will notify The Bake Room before the class begins.
6. Indemnification
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Bake Room from any claims resulting from my actions, including violation of the intellectual property or media rules above.
7. Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State
of Ohio.
8.Class cancellation
Classes may be susceptible to cancellation due to low class attendance. In this event, an email informing you of the cancellation will be sent out 2 days prior to the class and an immediate refund will be issued.
